Muddy Buddy 10K Ride and Run RacesA Relay Team Race Combining Running, Cycling and a Giant Mud Pit
Looking for a new challenge? This race series offers each two-person team a chance to bike, run and get dirty!
The Muddy Buddy Ride and Run series is an exciting adventure race for a two-person relay team. It is similar to a duathlon with both mountain biking and trail running but also includes obstacles and a giant mudpit that both team members must slog through at the end. How a Muddy Buddy Race Works Each Muddy Buddy race event involves a 10K course where teams of two partners compete. The race has five legs which end in an obstacle. One teammate starts out as a runner while the other starts out on the bike. They both make their way to the first obstacle. The biker leaves the bike in the transition area, completes the obstacle, then begins running the second leg to the next obstacle. After the first runner completes the first obstacle, they pickup the bike and ride to the next obstacle. The teammates continue trading off biking and running throughout each leg until the end. The final obstacle is the giant mudpit at the end. Teammates must complete the mudpit together. Whichever racer reaches it first, needs to wait until their partner arrives, then the slime through it together! Muddy Buddy Course ObstaclesThe obstacles in each course are suited for the location. Typical obstacles for the race course include:
